A message from OLS President and founder Terry Richards:
For the past decade, OLS has provided strategic and technical business process consulting, production support services for integration, monitoring, and decision support to medium and large enterprises in support of their mission-critical payment systems. In 2004, we released to the market a revolutionary new transaction product, OLS.Switch. In 2005 and 2006 we engineered in high volume enterprise readiness and added a new module for extraction, reporting and settlement.
We support both issuer and acquirer payment systems including some of the nation's largest automated teller networks, point-of-sale networks and third-party pharmacy networks. Our customers have entrusted OLS with the care, custody, and control of these highly complex, mission-critical systems that collectively process billions of dollars of non-cash transactions annually.
We have built OLS with the mission to deliver value to our customers through the development and sale of products and services to the Personal Consumption Expenditures (PCE) transaction marketplace. In our view, this value takes one or more of the following forms:
- We offer viable cost-effective alternatives to expensive legacy product providers and unresponsive over-booked service providers via OLS.Switch, a transaction processing engine built using the most current technology and payment industry standards; and OLS.Host, a new approach to outsourcing. [Dual revolutions in hardware and software have brought the era of exorbitantly-priced, proprietary-styled OLTP solutions to a rapid close.]
- We design and implement value-priced PCE transaction processing solutions in support of our customers' new marketing initiatives. [We believe our customers want profit-making opportunities to drive technology choices, not vice-versa.]
- We devise strategies that maximize the reliability, efficiency, effectiveness and capabilities of our customers' operating environments. [Our services and products are designed to help our customers 'do more with less' and avoid costly outages.']

Our Typical Client
is an enterprise that currently processes or wishes to process non-cash payment alternatives such as credit, debit, checks, stored-value, proprietary and fleet cards; scripts; electronic benefits transfer ('EBT'); pharmacy (Rx) benefit cards; frequent shopper ID cards; and RFIDs on a real-time basis.
They use a variety of payment-related processes, such as authorization; electronic draft capture; logging; reporting; settlement; transaction warehousing; customer service; and discrepancy resolution.
They initiate payments for many diferent points such as stand-alone point-of-sale or integrated cash registers; ATMs; co-located point-of-banking convenience centers; the Internet; mobile devices (cell phone, PDA); and pharmacy-based PCs.
They have a variety of transaction needs, such as retailers; acquirers (organizations that support merchants outsourcing their payment processing); banks (ATMs, POS acquirers and issuer card base authorizations); non-bank issuers (e.g., private-label card marketers, fleet card issuers, etc.); petroleum companies (POS-enabled gas pumps); convenience stores; and pharmacy chains (both as payment acquirer and prescription processor).
